GoodLuckCareers runs goodluckcareers.com, a recruitment advertising and introduction service for people living in Singapore who want to work from home. Our contact point is Bishan, Singapore, and the fastest way to reach us is careers@goodluckcareers.com. We are not the employer behind the roles listed here. This notice explains what personal data we collect when you visit the site, send an application or write to us, why we collect it, who else sees it and how long it stays with us.
We handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012. In this notice, "personal data" means information that identifies you or could identify you, "we" means GoodLuckCareers, and "employer" means the organisation offering the role you ask about.
When you apply, we receive the details you type into the application form and anything you write in your WhatsApp message to us. That is normally your name, mobile or WhatsApp number, email address, the role you picked and the hours you are free. If you email us, we also receive your email address and whatever the email says.
Fields you must fill in are marked on the form. If you leave out something we need, such as a way to contact you, we may not be able to reply or pass your application on. Nothing outside the marked fields is needed to apply.
Like every website, ours produces technical records each time a page loads: the IP address of your connection, your browser and device type, the page you opened, the page that sent you here and the time. Our hosting provider keeps these records to keep the site running and to block abusive traffic. We do not link them to applications.
We do not place advertising or analytics cookies on this site. Our hosting and security provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to tell genuine visitors apart from automated attacks. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the pages will still load.
At the date shown above, this site carries no advertising tags, no remarketing and no analytics scripts. If we add any, this section will name the provider, say what it receives and explain your choices before the tag goes live. Names, phone numbers and email addresses are never placed in page addresses or measurement events.
We use it to read and answer your application, to identify the role you want, to introduce you to the employer offering that role, to keep a record of what was sent and when, to deal with complaints and misuse, and to meet legal obligations. We do not use an application as permission to send you marketing, and we never sell or rent contact lists.
Applying has two parts: the form, and then a WhatsApp message to our HR team. Opening WhatsApp from our button does not send anything by itself; check the recipient and the message, then press Send. Whatever you put in that message is received by us through WhatsApp. If you cannot use WhatsApp, email careers@goodluckcareers.com and we will arrange another way to apply.
Only the people on our side who handle applications can see them. When you apply for a role, we share the details that role needs with the employer offering it, and we tell you who that employer is before or at the moment of introduction. If we think a different employer suits you better, we ask you first and share nothing until you agree.
Cloudflare hosts the website, protects it from attacks and routes email sent to our address. Google Fonts delivers the typefaces the pages use, which means your browser requests them from Google. WhatsApp, operated by Meta, carries the messages you send us there. Each provider handles data under its own terms. If we add a provider, it is listed here first.
Some of these providers operate servers outside Singapore, including in the United States and other regions where they run infrastructure. When personal data leaves Singapore, we take the steps the Personal Data Protection Act requires so that it keeps a comparable standard of protection. Email us for details of the arrangement that applies to your application.
We may disclose personal data where the law requires it, or where it is reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, misuse of our name or a threat to someone's safety. We disclose no more than the situation requires.
Application records and related messages are kept for up to twelve months after our last real contact with you about work, then deleted. We keep them longer only if a legal obligation or an open dispute requires it. Hosting logs expire on the provider's own short schedule and are not kept by us.
Every page is served over HTTPS. Access to applications is limited to the people who process them, and we do not copy them into shared drives or group chats. No system is completely secure, so if a breach puts you at risk we will tell you and take the steps the law requires.
We never ask applicants for payment, passwords or banking details.
Please leave out your NRIC or FIN number, passport details, one-time passcodes, card numbers and copies of identity documents. None of them are needed to apply. If they arrive anyway, we delete them.
You may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent to its use or ask us to delete it. Email careers@goodluckcareers.com and tell us which. We may ask a simple question to confirm the request really comes from you.
We aim to deal with every request within 30 days and tell you in writing when it is done. If part of a request cannot be met, for example because a record must be kept by law, we explain why and what else we can do.
You can withdraw at any point by emailing us. We stop processing it straight away. A withdrawal cannot undo an introduction already made, but we will tell the employer you are no longer interested.
Deleting information we control does not delete copies held independently by an employer or inside WhatsApp. Where that applies, we tell you which organisation to contact about its copy.
No decision about you is made by software alone. Every application is read by a person. We do not send newsletters or promotional messages based on your application.
This site is meant for adults looking for work. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we delete it if we learn that we have.
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, email careers@goodluckcareers.com and describe what happened. We investigate and reply in writing. If the first reply does not settle it, write back and the complaint is reviewed again by someone who was not involved the first time.
When this notice changes, we update the date at the top of the page. If a change affects how data we already hold is used, we tell the people affected before it applies.
